The Doula Network of Fort Wayne has been presenting "What Doulas Do & Don't Do," an educational in-service training for birth professionals and public interested in doula services around Fort Wayne. Our regular training includes a homemade lunch for the office staff, informational handouts and contact information. Our presentation of the fun "Doula Quiz" takes approximately 15 minutes and helps shed light on the Standards of Practice and Ethics to which DONA-trained doulas are held.
Upon completion of the training staff and professionals will have a great understanding of how a doula contributes to a birth team without a personal agenda or stepping into a medical role in any way. Participants will also be informed on how to report a doula they come into contact with that doesn't adhere to the Ethics and Standards of Practice.
If you are a birth professional or have a group of public (10 or more) interested in ths training please email Jordan Saalfrank.
