The International Cesarean Awareness Network, Inc. (ICAN) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC).
As a local chapter we seek to serve the needs of the women who come to us, including help with local birth and VBAC issues, providing a safe space to process our birth experiences, and promoting cesarean awareness. Our meetings consist of networking and support time for moms. We include informational sharing time on the state of maternity care, as broad as the world and as narrowed as local c-section rates, local stories of cesarean and VBAC, feedback and mingling time in a nurturing environment.

· Women who have had a cesarean
· Moms interested in planning a VBAC
· Anyone interesting in joining us in our mission
Meetings are held on the 4th Monday of each month
