*Additional Services:
Birth Therapy – belly casting, drawings, paintings – you name it! Mother and partners anticipating the birth are asked to explore the journey of birth through art therapy. The techniques used can help identify and repair negative feelings or fears that may be associated with the event so that families can move through the birth experience reassured and supported. Creativity is not a requirement. J
Doula Coaching – offers the preparatory worksheets, a one session informational meeting, and a demonstration of some of the popular doula comfort measure techniques. This is a great supplement to any childbirth education class! (Should you decide to hire me as your doula after the class, the cost will count toward the regular doula fee)
Sibling Preparation class – this is an opportunity for older children to explore “what will happen when baby arrives” through open discussion and play therapy techniques.
Showering the Mother – is a twist on the common day “baby shower.” Gifts for the mother are presented and a ceremonial ‘bracelet blessing’ for the mom incorporates the energy and love of all of the guests.
* all classes are tailored to meet the clients individual needs.
